I am very proud to be the Headteacher of this wonderful school. I have worked at St Monica’s for twenty-five years and have had the privilege of serving as Headteacher for twenty of them. We are fortunate to have a highly experienced, dedicated and stable staff team and for many of us, St Monica’s truly feels like a second home.

St Monica’s is a thriving two-form entry Catholic primary school situated in the heart of our local community near Southgate. Our Catholic faith is at the centre of everything we do and shapes the caring, inclusive and nurturing environment that makes our school such a special place to learn and grow. Guided by Gospel values, we encourage every child to recognise their unique God-given gifts and talents and to use them in the service of others.

One of the highlights of my day is welcoming children at the school gate each morning and seeing them run happily into the playground. Our pupils are confident, enthusiastic learners who take pride in their achievements and demonstrate high standards of behaviour, respect and kindness towards one another. We have high expectations for every child and are committed to ensuring that all pupils achieve their very best academically.

Alongside academic excellence, we place equal importance on the development of the whole child: intellectually, spiritually, socially, emotionally and creatively. We work closely with parents, carers and our parish community to help children develop a strong sense of faith, compassion and responsibility, preparing them to make a positive contribution to the wider world.

As a parent of three children myself, I have always led the school with one simple principle in mind: “Would this be good enough for my child?” This question continues to guide our decisions and our commitment to providing the very best education and care for every pupil entrusted to us.
